Deborah Smith Music Video Tutorials

Level 1 teaching videos are now online!

A series of teaching videos (for teachers and/or students)
is being developed to accompany the Level 1

“Musicianship & Aural Training for the Secondary School” books.
Each video teaches a musical concept from the book e.g.
for the first lesson in the Level 1 books there are the following three videos:

Level 1, Lesson 1 – Beat and Rhythm
Level 1, Lesson 1 – Crotchets, Quavers & Crotchet Rests
Level 1, Lesson 1 – Rhythmic Sightreading

These videos are a great resource for both experienced and beginning teachers:

  • Use them to teach the concept to your class or to revise a previously taught concept
  • Students can watch the videos to catch up if they are absent
  • Students can watch them as a homework task etc.
