Deborah Smith, educator, musician and author of the highly successful Musicianship & Aural Training for the Secondary School text book series and online resources, presents an interactive workshop for students studying VCE Music Performance (Units 1 to 4).
What you need to know & everything you need to succeed!
Using a range of tools such as solfa, rhythm names and singing, Deborah will provide an overview of the theory and aural comprehension components of VCE Music Performance (Outcome 3 – Music Language), including advice on how to learn and improve in the following areas:
- Scales & Modes
- Melody & Melodic Dictation
- Rhythm & Rhythmic Dictation
- Chords & Chord Progressions
- Theory & Aural Concepts
PLUS an overview of Music Analysis (Listening & Interpretation) and a sneak preview of a NEW Music Analysis Resource (coming soon)!
Cost: $90 per student. No refunds apply after March 8, 2019. Teachers accompanying a class attend for free. Fee includes morning tea and comprehensive notes.
